How to do it

  1. Set the bench to 30–45°, sit with dumbbells on your thighs, then lie back and kick them up to your shoulders.
  2. Press them up over your upper chest with your palms facing forward and your shoulder blades pulled back.
  3. Lower them to the sides of your upper chest until you feel a stretch, elbows about 45° from your body.
  4. Press back up and slightly inward so the dumbbells finish above your shoulders.

Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
