How to do it
- Hold the bar on your front shoulders with a grip just outside shoulder width, feet hip-width apart.
- Dip a short way by bending your knees, keeping your torso upright and your weight over your whole foot.
- Drive up hard with your legs and use that momentum to press the bar overhead, pulling your head back so the bar clears your chin.
- Lock out with the bar over your mid-foot, then lower it back to your shoulders with soft knees.
Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
