How to do it
- Fasten the belt snugly around your hips and clip it to the machine's chain or lever arm.
- Stand on the platform with your feet about shoulder-width apart and lightly hold the handles for balance.
- Release the weight from its supports, then squat straight down with your knees tracking over your toes.
- Keep your torso upright and push through your whole foot to stand back up.
- Set the weight back on its supports before you unclip the belt.
Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
