How to do it
- Rest the bar on the front of your shoulders, close to your throat, with your fingertips under it and elbows high.
- Lift it off the rack, step back, and set your feet about shoulder-width apart with your toes turned slightly out.
- Brace your core and sit straight down, keeping your torso as upright as you can.
- Keep your elbows up the whole way so the bar can't roll forward, then drive up through your whole foot.
Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
