How to do it

  1. Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart and your hands on your hips.
  2. Take a long step forward or back and lower until both knees are bent to about 90°.
  3. Keep your torso upright and your front knee tracking over your toes, with the front heel down.
  4. Push through your front foot to return to standing, then switch legs.

Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
