How to do it
- Set the safety stops just below your lowest squat position and the bar at about shoulder height.
- Step under the bar, rest it on your upper back, and place your feet shoulder-width apart, slightly in front of it.
- Twist the bar off the hooks, brace your core, and squat as deep as you can while keeping a neutral back.
- Drive up through your whole foot with your knees in line with your toes, then twist the bar back onto the hooks.
Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
