How to do it

  1. Attach weight with a dip belt, or hold a dumbbell between your feet.
  2. Hang from the bar with an overhand grip slightly wider than your shoulders.
  3. Pull your shoulders down, then pull until your chin clears the bar, driving your elbows toward your ribs.
  4. Lower yourself under control to a full hang.
  5. Keep the weight from swinging, and only add load while you can still do full, strict reps.

Warm up first and pick a weight you can control through the whole movement. Stop if something hurts.
